Team Advances After Overtime Win in Game 2

Boston Now Leads Best-of-Five Series 2-0

LOWELL, MA - May 19, 2024 - The Boston PWHL team defeated the PWHL Montreal 4-3 in Game 1 of the semifinal series on Friday night at Xcel Energy Center. Aerin Frankel made 30 saves to backstop Boston to the victory.

Susanna Tapani scored the game-winning goal 102 seconds into overtime to lift Boston to a 3-2 win and sweep their best-of-three quarterfinal series on May 14. Alina Müller scored the game-winning goal at 18:36 of the second overtime to lift Boston to a 1-0 victory in Game 3 of the quarterfinals on May 12.

Boston now leads the best-of-five semifinal series 2-0 after winning back-to-back overtime games. The series will continue with Game 3 in Montreal on Sunday, May 21.
